Tacito
Ollie and Emily have recently opened Tacito as a permanent venue. Many Sonningites will remember their mobile offering at the Sonning Club on summer Thursdays and Fridays. Well now they're permanent and open Thursday to Sunday on the High Street. During the day, amazing sandwiches and pastries and cakes. On Thursday - Sunday it's the whole enchillada - well tacos and lots of street food goodies.

Parish Council
The civil parish of Sonning lies within the Borough of Wokingham (WBC). Responsibilities are split between the two councils, with the Parish Council looking after local interests. The chairman of the Parish Council is Trefor Fisher. Sam Akhtar, Katrin Harding and Wayne Smith are the Borough Councillors for Thames Ward, and Yuan Yang is currently the local Member of Parliament.
Reading Rugby

Sonning Primary
Sonning CE Primary School, set in the beautiful village of Sonning, is a community school that balances high academic results with a clear desire to support children emotionally and as community-minded citizens. Being a key part of our local community is important to us all at Sonning Primary, and we are proud of the links we have, both to receive and to give support. We work with all the main local organisations in the village, as well as supporting local care homes and wider charities. We are fortunate to be based in such a supportive village.
Our school takes pupils from 4 years old (Reception) up to 11 years old (Year 6). We have an intake of 30 pupils each year.
